Monitoring is the critical link between an alarm simply making noise and an alarm which notifies the proper authorities of the alarm condition.  Armor Clad Security provides several levels of monitoring service.

Our basic alarm monitoring uses a standard telephone line to communicate with the central monitoring station.  This is the same way most alarm companies do their monitoring.

As an option to the basic alarm monitoring, some of our customers add a cellular back-up unit.  This permit the alarm system to maintain communication with the central monitoring station via the cellular telephone network in the event the landline telephone service is disconnected (either accidentally or malevolently).  Without a cellular back-up unit, should the landline telephone service be compromised then communication with the central monitoring station is compromised and therefore the alarm condition will not be acknowledged by the central station.  Subsequently, nobody will know your alarm has been triggered and no dispatch will occur.  This is why Armor Clad Security strongly recommend a cellular back-up unit to all our customers.
